UV Resistance

UV resistance, also known as ultraviolet (UV) resistance, refers to a material’s ability to withstand exposure to ultraviolet radiation from the sun or other UV sources without degrading or undergoing significant changes in its physical or chemical properties. UV radiation can cause damage to various materials over time, leading to color fading, surface deterioration, loss of mechanical strength, and other forms of degradation.

UV resistance is crucial in many industries and applications, including outdoor construction materials, automotive components, textiles, coatings, plastics, and more. Materials that are exposed to sunlight or UV radiation need to have adequate UV resistance to maintain their performance and appearance.

Range: Polymer, Rubber, Fabrics, Paint applications
Test Standards: ASTM G 154, ASTM D 4329, ISO 11341, ISO 4892-1
