Flash Point

The flash point is the lowest temperature at which a volatile substance, such as a liquid or flammable gas, can vaporize to form an ignitable mixture in air and produce a momentary flame when exposed to an open flame, spark, or heat source. In simpler terms, it is the temperature at which a substance can briefly catch fire or “flash” when introduced to a heat or ignition source.
